On October 7, 2020, the Department of Justice issued an interim final rule ("IFR"), 85 FR 63204, amending the regulations governing the Office of the Chief Administrative Hearing Officer to reflect the creation of the Chief Administrative Law Judge position and make technical corrections.  The Department is planning to issue a final rule responding to public comments and finalizing changes made by the IFR.
