<RULE_TITLE>Glycol Ethers: 2-Methoxyethanol, 2-Ethoxyethanol, and Their Acetates: Protecting Reproductive Health</RULE_TITLE>
<![CDATA[OSHA published an advance notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPRM) on April 2, 1987 (52 FR 10586). OSHA used the information received in response to the ANPRM, as well as other information and analysis, and published a proposal on March 23, 1993 (58 FR 15526), that would reduce the permissible exposure limits for four glycol ethers and provide protection for approximately 46,000 workers exposed to these substances. OSHA re-opened the record to collect updated information to help determine what action should be taken. Based on the information received and a review of the record, the Agency has decided to withdraw the proposal.]]>
