The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) is introducing a temporary rule and notice of proposed rulemaking to implement the Firearms Excise Tax Improvement Act of 2010, Public Law 111-237, section 2, "Time for Payment of Manufacturers' Excise Tax on Recreational Equipment." TTB is simultaneously reissuing certain regulations implementing the Uruguay Round Agreement Act, Public Law 103-465 section 712, "Time for Payment and Deposits of Excise Taxes."  Treasury is considering whether we can achieve relevant statutory objectives at a lower cost.
