The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) proposed amendments to its regulations to add 10 additional authorized standards of fill for wine. TTB's proposal also considered, as an alternative, eliminating all but a minimum standard of fill for wine containers and all but a minimum and maximum for distilled spirits containers. TTB is reopening the comment period for the notice to solicit comments from the public on additional suggestions it received in the public comments, particularly with regard to additional distilled spirits standards for TTB to consider if TTB does not eliminate all but a minimum and a maximum standard of fill for distilled spirits containers. Obtaining comment on these suggestions that go beyond the scope of the original proposal will enable TTB to consider whether to incorporate any of them in a final rule.
