        <LEGAL_DLINE_OVERALL_DESC>On October 21, 2011, the President signed into law the United States-Panama Trade Promotion Agreement Implementation Act (the Act), Public Law 112-43 (19 U.S.C. 3805 note), which approved and made statutory changes to implement the PANTPA. Section 103 of the Act requires that regulations be prescribed as necessary to implement the provisions of the PANTPA within 1 year of the Agreement entering into force. On October 29, 2012, President signed Proclamation 8894 implementing PANTPA into force.</LEGAL_DLINE_OVERALL_DESC>
