This document corrects the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations to reflect the accurate expiration date of the import restrictions on certain archaeological and ethnological material from Ecuador.  The United States imposed these restrictions based on a determination made by the U.S. Department of State under the terms of the Convention on Cultural Property Implementation Act.

The Assistant Secretary for Educational and Cultural Affairs, U.S. Department of State, determined that conditions warrant the imposition of import restrictions and, through the exchange of diplomatic notes, entered into an agreement with Ecuador on February 11, 2020.  Pursuant to the diplomatic notes, these import restrictions will remain in effect through February 11, 2025, unless further extended.  Accordingly, the CBP regulations will be corrected to reflect the accurate expiration date.
