The OCC, FRB, and FDIC are planning to issue a final rule that would specify capital requirements applicable to an advanced approaches banking organization that invests in long-term debt (LTD) instruments issued by a global systemically important banking organization to meet regulatory loss-absorbing debt requirements such as the FRB’s total loss absorbing capacity (TLAC) regulations, and related types of debt instruments.
