        <ABSTRACT><![CDATA[The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is proposing to amend the Department of Homeland Security Acquisition Regulation (HSAR), 48 CFR chapter 30 to provide notice to implement Public Law 109-295, title VI, section 695, Limitation on Length of Certain Noncompetitive Contracts.  The limitation applies for sole source contracts using the FAR part 6, unusual and compelling urgency exception (above the SAT) for requirements associated with facilitating response and recovery from natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or other man-made disasters. The maximum period of performance is 150 days, unless exceptional circumstances apply.]]></ABSTRACT>
