<RULE_TITLE>Documents and Receipts Acceptable for Employment Eligibility Verification</RULE_TITLE>
<![CDATA[The Department of Homeland Security is amending its regulations listing the identity and employment authorization documents and receipts that individuals may present to their employers for completion of Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification. The rule changes the list of documents by no longer allowing employers to accept expired documents. This rule also adds a new document to the list of acceptable documents that evidence both identity and employment authorization and makes several technical corrections and updates. The affect of this rule is to improve the integrity of the employment verification process so that individuals who are unauthorized to work are prevented from obtaining employment in the United States.]]>
