        <ABSTRACT><![CDATA[The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will take final action on the December 31, 2001, interim final rule (IFR) by completing an economic analysis and responding to comments received. 

That IFR established passenger civil aviation security service fees, known as the "September 11th Security Fee" in the amount of $2.50 per enplanement on passengers of domestic and foreign carriers in air transportation, foreign air transportation, and intrastate air transportation originating in the United States, up to $5.00 per one-way trip and $10.00 per round trip.  The fees are required under 49 U.S.C. 44940 to pay TSA for the costs of providing Federal civil aviation security services.]]></ABSTRACT>
