<RULE_TITLE>Sensitive Security Information: Disclosure in Federal Civil Court Proceedings</RULE_TITLE>
<![CDATA[The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is proposing to revise its regulations governing the protection of Sensitive Security Information (SSI) to implement section 525(d) of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Appropriations Act of 2007, which grants civil litigants or their counsel who do not currently have a need to know SSI access to specific SSI in Federal district court proceedings, if certain requirements are met. Sensitive Security Information is primarily information that would be detrimental to transportation security or safety if publicly disclosed. This proposed rule would establish an administrative process by which a limited number of individuals representing parties in Federal civil court proceedings would apply to TSA for access to SSI for use in the litigation.]]>
