The National Network for Curriculum Coordination in Vocational and Technical Education (Network) was a system of six curriculum coordination centers that disseminated information resulting from research and development activities. The Network was authorized under the authority of sec. 2402(c) of the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Applied Technology Act of 1990 and its regulations were published in the Federal Register, August 14, 1992 (57 FR 36778). The Department will rescind its regulations at 34 CFR 412.1 -- 412.6 (subpart A); 34 CFR 412.20 -- 412.21 (subpart C); and 34 CFR 412.30 -- 412.31 (subpart D) relating to the Network. These actions are necessary because these program regulations are outdated and are not authorized under the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 subpart B of 34 CFR 412 is currently reserved. The Department also will reserve subparts A, C and D of 34 CFR 412. With these actions we will deregulate and reserve 34 CFR 412.
