<![CDATA[The Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA), as amended, establishes energy conservation standards for commercial air conditioning equipment, prescribes test procedures, and authorizes labeling for such equipment. This action would promulgate by regulation the energy conservation standards and test procedures established in EPCA for these products. This action will also incorporate by reference energy conservation standards and test procedures, as promulgated by EPCA and as revised by the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute or by the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ARI/ASHRAE).]]>
