DOE is considering new Federal energy conservation standards for portable air conditioners (see RIN: 1904-AD02). Should DOE issue a determination that portable air conditioners are a covered product, DOE may prescribe test procedures for portable air conditioners. This is the first review of a test procedure for portable air conditioners.
