The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is required to review its test procedures for fluorescent lamp ballasts once every 7 years under the Energy Policy and Conservation Act. In this rulemaking DOE is reviewing its test procedures for fluorescent lamp ballasts and considering whether to update the fluorescent lamp ballasts test procedures under appendix Q to subpart B of 10 CFR part 430.
