DOE is conducting a rulemaking to revise its certification and compliance regulations applicable to faucets, showerheads, water closets, urinals, commercial pre-rinse spray valves and pumps to reduce reporting burden by eliminating the requirement to certify products no longer being manufactured but still being distributed in interstate commerce. DOE is also proposing various minor revisions to existing certification and compliance procedures to improve the clarity and readability of the regulatory language, and to ensure that manufacturers report certification data accurately and consistently.
