This rulemaking amends the DOE Acquisition Regulation to incorporate a "Change Order Accounting" clause tailored to the DOE contracting environment to augment the FAR part 43, Contract Modifications requirements for change order accounting and timely submission of definitization proposals. The clause provides that contractors have an affirmative responsibility to establish change order accounting for any change over $100,000; submit definitization proposals within an established due date; and sets out Government remedies for non-compliance.
