This action amends DOE's Occupational Radiation Protection regulations to update appendix D, Surface Contamination Values, to be consistent with the values in the Department's environmental requirements. DOE is considering clarifying its requirements for when radiation safety training is required. DOE is also considering clarifying expectations regarding when controls are required for naturally occurring radioactive materials which have been technologically enhanced.
