The Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, spells out, the requirements to grant access and to develop the protection requirements for Restricted Data (RD) and Formerly Restricted Data (FRD) to the Department of Energy. The current policy only contains requirements for access permittees. The purpose of this revision is to change the title to clarify that the intent of the policy applies only to access permittees as it pertains to RD, as well as to provide administrative changes.
