The Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, establishes the authorities for granting access and developing protection requirements for Restricted Data (RD) and Formerly Restricted Data (FRD). The subject regulation establishes safeguarding requirements for RD and FRD with application to access permittees. The purpose of this revision is to change the title of the regulation and to clarify application to access permittees and to provide administrative changes.
