EPA plans to finalize regulations that would update specific elements of the existing National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) regulations. The rule would make targeted revisions to outdated application, permitting, monitoring and reporting requirements in order to eliminate inconsistencies between regulations and application forms, improve permit documentation and transparency, and clarify existing regulations.
