In this action, the Environmental Protection Agency postponed by two years the compliance dates for the new, and more stringent, best available technology economically achievable ("BAT") effluent limitations and pretreatment standards for existing sources of bottom ash transport water and flue gas desulfurization ("FGD") wastewater in the steam electric power generating industry, which were published in the Federal Register on November 3, 2015 ("2015 Rule"). This postponement rule does not otherwise amend the effluent limitations guidelines and standards for the steam electric power generating point source category in any way.
