Under this action, EPA is revising the Metal Finishing Effluent Limitation Guidelines (ELGs) at 40 CFR part 433 to address discharges of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in wastewater from chromium electroplating facilities. This action is a commitment in the Agency PFAS Strategic Roadmap released in 2021 and is also referenced in the ELG Program Plan.
