<RULE_TITLE>Risk and Technology Review for Group 1: Polymers & Resins I; Polymers & Resins II, Acetal Resins, and Hydrogen Fluoride</RULE_TITLE>
<![CDATA[This action is called Risk and Technology Review (RTR) Group 1. It addressed both EPA's obligation to conduct a residual risk review and to conduct a technology review. It includes eight source categories, each affected by one of four MACT standards. The eight source categories are: polysulfide rubber manufacturing (P&R I MACT); ethylene propylene rubber manufacturing (P&R I MACT); butyl rubber manufacturing (P&R I MACT); neoprene manufacturing (P&R I MACT); epoxy resins manufacturing (P&R II MACT); non-nylon polyamides manufacturing (P&R II MACT); hydrogen fluoride manufacturing (GMACT); and acetal resins manufacturing (GMACT). EPA is required to evaluate the risk remaining at facilities 8 years after they are required to comply with MACT air-toxic emission standards according to section 112 (f)(2) of the Clean Air Act (CAA). EPA is also required to review and revise the MACT standards if needed every 8 years with regard to practices, processes and control technologies according to section 112(d)(6) of the CAA.]]>
