This action is a reconsideration of the State Implementation Plan Submittal Deadlines and Implementation Requirements for Reclassified Nonattainment Areas Under the Ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards rule (published on January 17, 2025). That final rule established default State Implementation Plan (SIP) submittal deadlines and implementation deadlines following ozone nonattainment area reclassification. The rule also codified a policy regarding which lower classification requirements remain once an area is reclassified.
