        <RULE_TITLE>Trichloroethylene (TCE); SNUR for Non-Aerosol Spray Degreasers</RULE_TITLE>
<![CDATA[EPA intends to propose a significant new use rule (SNUR) under the Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) section 5(a)(2) for certain uses of trichlorethylene (TCE). This action would require persons who intend to manufacture (including import) or process this chemical substance for an activity that is designated as a significant new use by this proposed rule to notify the EPA at least 90 days before commencing that activity. The required notification would initiate EPA's evaluation of the intended use within the applicable review period. Manufacture and processing for the significant new use would be unable to commence until EPA has conducted a review of the notice, made an appropriate determination on the notice, and taken such actions as are required in association with that determination.]]>
