<RULE_TITLE>Revision of Hydraulics Systems Airworthiness Standards to Harmonize with European Airworthiness Standards for Transport Category Airplanes</RULE_TITLE>
<![CDATA[This notice proposes to amend the airworthiness standards for transport category airplanes to harmonize hydraulic systems design and test requirements with standards proposed for the European Joint Aviation Requirements. These proposals were developed in cooperation with the Joint Aviation Authorities of Europe and the US and European aviation industry through the Aviation Rulemaking Advisory Committee (ARAC). These changes are intended to benefit the public interest by standardizing certain requirements, concepts, and procedures contained in the airworthiness standards without reducing and potentially enhancing the current level of safety.]]>
