<RULE_TITLE>Pipeline Safety: Changes to the National Pipeline Mapping System Data Collection and Standards</RULE_TITLE>
<![CDATA[This rulemaking would require the submission of additional geospatial information by the operators of gas transmission and hazardous liquid pipeline operators, as well as LNG plant operators. This rule would change mapping data accuracy standards and collect additional data elements such as pipeline diameter, MAOP, SMYS, "smart piggability", type/location of blocking valves, coating of pipe, etc. This information would provide a more complete and accurate picture of facilities. This information would also strengthen PHMSA´s ability to fulfill its mission goals of safety, environmental stewardship, reliability, and effective emergency response.]]>
