This proposed rule would amend HUD’s regulations governing grants and awards to conform with recent changes to federal-wide grants and awards regulations updated at 2 CFR part 200. The proposed rule updates cross-references and also proposes several changes to data elements and performance and risk management to better align with governmentwide standards. HUD believes these changes will improve its grantmaking processes by reducing burdens on grantees, as well as maximize HUD’s ability to assess performance of its grantees.
