This proposed rule would revise HUD’s monitoring and asset management of the Risk Share loan portfolio by a) expanding delegation to the lenders to update and simplify the program; b) improving HUD program monitoring while reducing unnecessary reporting; c) improving communications about lender activities and loan performance; and d) better aligning certain Risk Share policies with MAP program policies.
