Section 701 of the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act (HOTMA), Public Law 114-201, amended the AIDS Housing Opportunity Act, 42 U.S.C. 12903(c), changing the formula and terms for grant allocations provided to entities to prevent homelessness for individuals living with HIV or AIDS. As required by the AIDS Housing Opportunity Act, HUD is implementing the HOTMA changes by regulation and making necessary changes for program efficiencies.
