This proposed rule would strengthen the Section 184A Native Hawaiian Loan Guarantee Program by, among other things, updating the regulations to codify current practices, clarify the loan guarantee process, and update the program consistent with current industry standards. These changes would ensure program sustainability, decrease risk to the federal government, and provide clarity for new and existing lenders who participate in the program.
