This rule amends Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) regulations concerning VA's payments to third-party providers of extended care services to certain veterans. This rule establishes VA's use of Medicare procedures to enter into provider agreements for extended care services. VA furnishes extended care services for eligible veterans and often utilizes non-VA providers in order to meet the specific needs of each veteran.
