The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is amending its medical regulation that governs Vet Center services. The National Defense Authorization Act of Fiscal Year 2013 (the 2013 Act) requires Vet Centers to provide readjustment counseling services to a broader group of veterans, servicemembers, and family members of veterans and servicemembers. This final rule codifies into regulation the expansion of readjustment counseling services mandated by the 2013 Act. In addition, the 2013 Act defined "Vet Centers," and this final rule amends VA's regulation to accord with that definition. These amendments are required by the 2013 Act and will increase the number of individuals that can be assisted by Vet Centers.
