The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) amends it’s regulations that govern the general provisions of the Veteran Readiness and Employment and Education regulations by incorporating the provisions of section 1002 of the Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2009 (Pub. L. 111-32) which authorized the "Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry Scholarship"; the Post-9/11 GI Bill Educational Assistance Improvements Act of 2010 (Pub. L. 111-377), which modified the manner in which payments of educational assistance payments are determined, and expanded the types of programs students may pursue under the Post-9/11 GI Bill; and a select number of provisions of Harry W. Colmery Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2017 (Pub. L. 115-48).
