The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) proposes removing the regulation (38 CFR 21.222), that governs the release of, and repayment for, training and rehabilitation supplies. Congress’s amendment to section 3104 no longer provides a legal basis or statutory authority to recoup or require reimbursement of supplies and or equipment in any circumstance. These amendments are in accordance with the President’s priorities that improve service delivery, customer experience, and reduce administrative burdens for those accessing public benefits and services.
