The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is updating its regulations in line with the MISSION Act (Public Law 115-182), which amended 38 U.S.C. 1703 and established the Veterans Community Care Program (VCCP), replacing the Veterans Choice Program under the Veterans Access, Choice, and Accountability Act of 2014 (Public Law 113-146). While new regulations for the VCCP were implemented, certain provisions from the Veterans Choice Program needed to stay in effect to resolve ongoing claims for care provided before June 6, 2019. As there are no remaining episodes of care pending resolution, VA proposesis removinge these regulations.
