2900-AS60 202510 The Regulatory Plan and the Unified Agenda of Federal Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions 2900 Department of Veterans Affairs VA Updating Health Care for Homeless Veterans Program

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) proposes to amend its medical regulations concerning the Health Care for Homeless Veterans (HCHV) program by updating the scope and purpose of the HCHV program; adding and revising definitions; revising priority groups and information on how non-VA community-based providers can determine a veteran's eligibility and priority for the HCHV program; and adding sections regarding contracts and funding, per diem payment, general and staffing requirements, facility standards, and inspections and site visits.  These revisions will improve the administration of this program, which contracts with community-based residential treatment facilities to provide services to homeless veterans.
