This proposed rule would replace references to "National Senior Service Corps" with "AmeriCorps Seniors" to reflect that the Senior Companion Program (SCP), Foster Grandparent Program (FGP), and RSVP are AmeriCorps Seniors programs. The proposed rule would also remove barriers for individuals to serve as AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers and increase flexibility for sponsors to determine the best mix of staffing and resources to accomplish project goals.
