The General Services Administration is proposing to amend the rule clarify wording and other verbiage in the Disposal part to align with provisions in the Federal Sales and Transfer Act of 2016 and the Federal Property Management Reform Act of 2016 regarding the disposal of unutilized real property assets and McKinney-Vento and reflect best practices for the disposal of real property. GSA is collaborating with Department of Housing and Urban Development and Department of Health and Human Services regarding changes to the provisions on the use of real property for homelessness assistance to ensure consistency across regulations.
