NCUA previously proposed to amend the associational common bond provisions of its chartering and field of membership rules to ensure compliance with membership requirements for associations and to provide some regulatory relief. The comment period on that proposal closed June 30, 2014. NCUA is currently considering the public comments and is proceeding to finalize the rule.
