<![CDATA[The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) proposes to revise 49 CFR part 835, which contains procedures for requesting deposition testimony, as well as testimony in criminal cases, of NTSB employees, when approved by the NTSB General Counsel. The proposed revisions will update various terms and other outdated information and include a few additions to address recent situations the NTSB has encountered with requests for, and conduct during, depositions of NTSB employees. The NTSB's NPRM for part 835 follows a notice the NTSB published in the Federal Register in June 2012, which indicated the NTSB would review all NTSB regulations and amend them to ensure they are up-to-date, in accordance with Executive Orders 13563 and 13579.]]>
