3147-AA07 201610 The Regulatory Plan and the Unified Agenda of Federal Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions 3147 National Transportation Safety Board NTSB National Security Information Policy and Guidelines, Implementing Regulations

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) plans to update 49 CFR part 806, which contains citations to outdated authority concerning declassification of Government records. The NTSB adheres to current statutory requirements, as well as relevant Executive Orders, regarding the handling of classified materials. The NTSB obtains and stores a small number of these records, but has determined updated regulations in part 806 would prove beneficial.

 

In the interest of economy and efficiency, the NTSB has since merged this RIN (AA07) and several other RINs (AA10, AA14) into RIN 3147-AA06, and decided to issue a single NPRM making similar technical, nonsubstantive revisions to parts 801, 802, 806, and 807 in 49 CFR Chapter VIII. See RIN 3147-AA06 for all future activities related to minor edits for these parts.
