The NTSB proposes to jointly amend with the United States Coast Guard (Coast Guard), implementing regulations for section 304 in the Independent Safety Board Act of 1974. This rule would adjust the property threshold amount for a major marine casualty in the NTSB’s regulations at 49 CFR 850.5(e)(3) and in Coast Guard regulations at 46 CFR 4.40-5(d)(3).
