This rule would amend requirements for track-etched membranes that have been irradiated with mixed fission products as part of the membrane production process. The rule also would accommodate the licensing and distribution of other irradiated products (e.g., gemstones) without the need for a specific exemption for each distributor. This rule was formerly titled "Polymer (Polycarbonate or Polyester) Track Etched (PCTE) Membranes)."
