The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is issuing a final rule in accordance with the FOIA Improvement Act of 2016 (Pub. L. 114-185) (the Act) which was signed by President Obama on June 30, 2016. The rule will codify procedures for disclosing records under FOIA that conform to the amendments made by the Act. In addition, the NRC regulations will be updated to include procedures for engaging in dispute resolution through the FOIA Public Liaison and the Office of Government Information Services within the National Archives and Records Administration.
