This rulemaking would amend the Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s regulations in 10 CFR part 37, Physical Protection of Category 1 and Category 2 Quantities of Radioactive Material to require NRC and Agreement State licensees to provide advance notification to participating federally recognized Tribal governments when shipments of Category 1 quantities of radioactive material will pass within or across the boundaries of the reservations.
