The Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency for the District of Columbia (CSOSA) is amending its regulations concerning the District of Columbia Sex Offender Registration as codified in title 28, chapter 811 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). This section of the CFR pertains to DC Sex Offender Registry registration, compliance, penalties, notice of appearance, definitions, and listing of offenses by class.

With this amendment, CSOSA will revise the language to reflect changes to the periodic verification of registration information process. The amended language will remove the requirement for CSOSA to send a certified letter with return receipt requested to the home of the sex offender and include specific verification processes for homeless registrants.
