DoD, GSA, and NASA are proposing to amend the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to create and implement appropriate contract clauses and regulatory coverage to address contractor requirements for breach response consistent with the requirements. This FAR change will implement the requirements outlined in Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Memorandum, M-17-12, "Preparing for and Responding to a Breach of Personally Identifiable Information” section V part B .
