DoD, GSA, and NASA are proposing to amend the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to implement sections 885 and 6403 of the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021. Section 885 requires that the Federal Awardee Performance and Integrity Information System include identifying information on the beneficial owner of a Federal contractor that is a corporation. Paragraph (c) of section 6403 directs the FAR to be changed to require certain offerors to disclose beneficial ownership information in their offers for contracts over the simplified acquisition threshold.
